A&M is committed to protecting the privacy of our customers in transactions conducted on our web site and by all other media. This document discloses the privacy practices in effect at A&M, Inc. Insurance coverage availability is limited to eligible U.S. residents in states where A&M is licensed and only through licensed insurance agents that have a current Producer Agreement.

Anderson and Murison's Use of Your Personal Information
We do not diclose any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to anyone, except as permitted or required by law. We may also disclose any or all information we have collected about you to companies that perform services on our behalf. When we make this type of disclosure it is done to service your policy and we require these companies to keep your information confidential and only use for the requested transaction.

Anderson and Murison does not sell information about you to others.

Privacy for website Visitor Information

Our site is designed to provide an accurate insurance indication with minimal personal information. LIke all web sites, we are often able to detect and store user IP addresses and/or domain names and the referring site. We also collect information on web traffic and usage patterns. We use this information to help diagnose problems with our servers, to administer our web site, and to improve or visitors' experience.

In order to obtain an accurate rate indication, through your broker, you will be asked to submit certain information about you, others in your household, and information about your insurable assets (e.g. automobiles, homes etc.). The application and all other documents and information related to insurance transactions are maintained in our computer systems. We use a broad range of privacy protection software and strategies to protect this data.

Information collected

Anderson and Murison collects personal information (e.g. name, address, company address, names of insureds, E-mail address, telephone number) on our website applications when voluntarily offered by you or from your agent/broker. We do not collect any personally identifiable information about your online activities across other sites or online services.

We may collect personal information about you from:

  • The information you provide on quotes, applications or other forms.
  • Your transactions with us
  • The information we receive from a consumer reporting agency
  • Your insurance agent/broker
  • Public records

Anderson and Murison uses a random set of characters stored in a "cookie" to track user traffic patterns and to guide you through the quoting and purchasing processes. Cookies cannot read data off your hard disk. to protect your privacy, we do not use cookies to store or transmit any personal information about you. While you can refuse cookies by disabling them in  your browser options, you will be unable to get a quote or buy a policy from Anderson and Murison if you do so.

Anderson and Murison uses secure encrypted technology and have security steps in place to protect your data.

AndersonMurison.com has links to websites not under the control of Anderson and Murison. These sites may collect data on you and Anderson and Murison is not responsible for their privacy practices.

We limit employee access to customer information to those employees with a legitimate business reason for such access. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your personal information from being accessed by unauthorized persons. We also conduct risk assessments, risk management and control, and oversight of our service providers to assure the effectiveness of these safeguards.

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA"), California residents have the right to request that we disclose:

  • The categories of personal information that we have collected about you,
  • THe categories of sources from which personal information is collected,
  • The business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling information,
  • The categories of third parties with whom we share personal information, and
  • The specific pieces of personal information that we have collected about you.

Much of this information is provided in this Privacy Statement. You also have the right to request that we delete any of your personal information that we collected from you. You may submit a request by contact us at 800.234.6977. Please be aware, however, that the CCPA does not apply to most of the information that we collect and share in the normal course of our insurance business, such as information collected when you request a quote, purchase a policy, or when our partner carriers are investigating and paying claims. The CCPA also does not apply to information you may have provided in connection with an employement or agency relationship with our company. So, we will be unable to delete such information, and other legal obligatins require us to retain it.

We cannot provide any information unless we are able to verify the identity of the person making a request.

We have the right to be free from discriminatory treatment for exercising your privacy rights under the CCPA.

If we decide to purchase a policy through A&M, we require a completed, signed application from you through your broker to process your request.
